The Great Escape!

Walk tall, feel powerful, and inspire others to do likewise.
Master yourself, Master your life.
Unleash the hero within you!

I built the Kung Fu Retreat so that I could live out my dream:

  • Develop my Kung Fu and Qigong practise without distraction.
  • Follow a philosophical path.
  • Live close to nature.
  • Eat healthy.
  • Age well.
  • Be happy.

Plenty people told me I was being silly but 17 years later, not only am I living the sort of life that other people just dream of, but I am sharing it with a community of Kung Fu and Qigong enthusiasts who are all doing the same and loving it. We are looking to grow our community. If you are looking to completely reinvent your life in a healthier, happier, more natural way then here are some suggestions how you might join us.

What we have learned about remote working from our Retreat:

Intensive 200hour teacher training courses are very demanding. They don’t leave a lot of time and energy for remote working. So if taking one of these courses please don’t expect to be able to work online for many hours a day.
Combining working and training requires good personal organisation. Many people do it successfully but between work and Kung Fu/Qigong, most of your time will be taken so you will have less time for holidaying and socialising than students here who are not working.
