Here are some sample packages available at the Kung Fu Retreat with suggestions as to just how much you can reasonably expect to
learn in the time. Obviously this will vary from person to person. We do try to adapt our teaching to the people we have with us at the time
and their individual interests.

We can, of course, book you in for any length of stay that you want. Prices quoted are for the Shaolin Warrior Program with accommodation,
food and facilities as specified here.

In a one week stay you will immerse your self in the culture and lifestyle of Shaolin Kung Fu and experience for your self what it is all about!  You will learn:

1 month.
The best choice if you do not have too much time or money to spare but want to make serious gains.  This will give you time to learn the famous Shaolin staff - considered the fundamental weapon of Shaolin - and to pass through the first grading (examination) of the Tiger - Crane Art.  In one month you can really immerse your self fully in Shaolin Kung Fu!  You will learn:

You will really start to live the life of a kung fu disciple.  3 months gives you enough time to really build a new body and to become confident with and competent at basic kung fu.  You will be able to learn both the staff and broadsword from the Shaolin weapons art.  You can expect to pass the second grading (examination) of the Tiger - Crane Art and, if you learn fast, possibly the third!  You will learn:

Medium Stay Packages At The Mountain Retreat, (up to 1 year).

6 months.
A 6 month stay gives time for serious improvement.  It is long enough to make a serious change in mind, body and spirit.  It is also the minimum length of stay required to gain an instructor's qualification.  You will be able to learn the staff and broadsword and at least one other weapon from the Shaolin art.  You can expect to pass the fourth grading (examination) of the Tiger - Crane Art.  If you are so minded, you should be ready to compete in Chinese boxing.  You will learn:

A stay of one year will enable you to change your life around and emerge a new person.  You will be able to build a body to be proud of.  You will be able to learn about six different Shaolin weapons and pass the sixth grading in the Tiger - Crane art.  This is a reasonable training period for those who wish to become an instructor.  Those interested in Chinese boxing should have reached a good competitive standard.
You will learn:

Long Stay Packages At The Mountain Retreat, (over 1 year).

Long stays are for those who want to become outstanding martial artists with super human abilities.  The extra time allows for building a stronger, leaner, more flexible body, working higher through the grading system and learning more routines and weapons.  Long stays are ideal for those intending to become professional instructors.  Those intending to take up a position as chief instructor of their country should stay as long as possible so as to learn as much of the syllabus as possible.

18 Months.
Long enough to pass the seventh grading of the Shaolin Tiger Crane Art - equivalent of a 1st degree black belt - and to learn 9 Shaolin weapons.

2 Years.
Long enough to pass the eighth or maybe 9th grading of the Shaolin Tiger Crane Art  and to learn 12 Shaolin weapons.

3 Years.
Long enough to complete the syllabus of the Shaolin Tiger - Crane art and Shaolin weapon art.

You will learn:
