This kung fu resort both spiritually and physically (training) exceeded my expectations and desires. I learned an incredible amount during my 3 month stay, and made great friends from all around the world. It truly felt like family there. The accommodation and care provided by the owners and staff was superb.
I definitely recommend this resort for all that are looking to learn the art, practice meditation, and connect more deeply with yourself during the process.

This is a good place for serious martial artists to be introduced to a new style, or for individuals looking to try martial arts for the very first time. The people, atmosphere and tone were all very friendly and the training was serious, informative and had a profoundly positive effect on my health.
I came to the retreat with the intention of clearing my mind and focusing on my spiritual side, but by the end of the month I found my waist had shrunk 7 inches. I am laughing and smiling more than I have in years.
If you’re ready for a real change in your life; mentally, physically, spiritually… here is a place to start.
I’m already saving $ to go back.
I just returned from a 10 days stay at Master Iain’s camp.
My impression of the camp and the charming place Pai can’t be more positive.
What I experienced from the training and facilities there was just mind blowing and by far exceeded all expectations I had in advance.
It’s like holidays for the mind and the best thing: the treasure of knowing the Chi Gong is something that I can take and practice at almost any place from now on. Priceless!
People at the camp were all super cool and the whole group of staff and guests feels like a big family – a place you feel welcome from the first minute of your arrival.
I didn’t do much researches about the place Pai in advance of my trip, the more I was surprised how lovely it is.

When I arrived for my month of training Iain asked me what my aims were, I had a long list… become fitter, more relaxed, more confident, improve flexibility/posture (I suffer from sciatica), learn a martial art (having never done anything like this before). I got all this and more, met some great people, had an adventure along the way and stayed for a second month. I practice what I learnt daily and regularly think about returning.

Easy to book and with the personal touch of the Master Iain Armstrong and his team I found myself in the beautiful town of Pai in northern Thailand. Nam Yang is well appointed and designed around the training centre.
The results for me after two weeks? No cigarettes, no drinking, the loss of more than a couple of kilos and a really healthy attitude about myself and the world around me. Great instructors who understand methods of instruction and take that extra little of time to help the individual. Close to town the facility has a great feel about it. I would recommend that anyone in the older age brackets (say 45 and over) do some stretching and light cardio before heading there. Can’t sing their praises enough.
